Tactile Toddler Fun Play!

I was inspired while photographing kids at a preschool yesterday by all of the tactile stimulation they had for the Two-Year Olds. The kids were truly enchanted and passionate about the activities, so I decided to start my own series of toddler fun activities for other mothers out there who wish to enrich their childrens' lives with simple, fun play.

This tactile experience game was super simple. I bought super cheap shaving foam, sprayed it onto a cookie sheet, put a warm bowl of water next to it for rinsing his hands- and let my Two-Year Old go at it! He added the 'washing' of the truck to the game. My energetic, spirited child played with it for three hours today!

you know what's also fun? cornstarch and water. in a big bucket. i did it with finn in her highchair in the kitchen. it's so easy to clean up because when it dries it just turns into cornstarch again.
i can't wait to do shaving cream with her.
i think she would just eat it right now, though.
